Sunflower Sprite

Hello Everyone!

Before I get into today's post, I'd like to welcome my new followers and
thanks you for your lovely comments and continuous support.
Your support inspires my creativity!

I've seen so many beautiful creations using Aurora Wings images in the blogland.
I must admit I am intimidated by the intricacy of Mitzi's artwork.
Coloring these images seems like a great challenge.

The sunflower sprite image is currently a bonus at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.
You can find it here for a free download.

I had fun coloring this sprite with my grey and black color pencils.

Design paper: Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour Collection
Dies: Go Kreate, and Magnolia DooHickey

Tilda with Rooster ~ Tag It at The Ribbon Girl

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to my blog!

Long time no see.
I've been absent from the blogland due to family vacation.
We had a lovely time at The Big Island, Hawaii.
It seems I need an extra week to recuperate from my vacation :^)

Today, I have a new DT card to share with you.
I've made it for the Magnolia Only Challenge at The Ribbon Girl Blog.
The theme this week is ~ Make a tag.

The tag mimics a barn house. I dry embossed the base cardstock
and barn doors with woodgrain embossing folder and ran some

white chalk ink over the raised area for more dimension.

The stamps I used are Tilda with Cock-a-Doodle-Doo The Rooster
and Little Birds from Magnolia.
I water colored the images with Distress Ink pads and
added shabby white frantage around Tilda.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
13mm Olivia white cluny lace, organza/pearl white looped trim,
blue, baby pink, and pale lemon sweetheart blossoms,
natural button twine, blue tiny Ric Rac ribbon.

DPs: Magnolia
Dies: Magnolia, Memory Box, and SU
The chicken wire chipboard is from Dusty Attic.

You can see all the beautiful DT creations at The Ribbon Girl Blog.
We would love it if you can join in the fun creating and win great prizes.

Explore your imagination

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog!

I managed to get a tag made in time for the Tim Holtz

Here's my interpretation of Tim's challenge.

DSC00308 3.37.51 PM

I have followed Tim's instruction (here) and created my monoprinting
background using the Eyechart stencil.

I incorporated the TH Eye Stamper image and stenciled some
embossing paste in the corners for added texture and interest.
Few TH remnant rubs were adhered here and there to
further expand my interpretation.

Butterfly and moth stamp images from the TH Papillon stamps
were watercolored with Distress Inks and cut out for embellishments.
Other embellishments include metal gears from my stash
and a piece of TH Chevron Frameworks die cut.

Lastly, I distressed the seam binding ribbon for the final touch.

I had fun making this tag and enjoyed playing with the inks
and water, and see the colors come to life.
At the end, it is worthwhile to get my fingers all inky :^).

Hope you like my interpretation of Tim's June tag and
thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs,
Katie
