Okay Beautiful Girl

Hello Everyone!

Recently I discovered artist Diane Duda through Funky Kits Store
which carries several Diane Duda's rubber stamps.
I just love her style, her art work puts a happy
face on me and warms my heart.

Diane has started to draw digi stamps based on her paintings
and they are available at her Etsy Shop.
Of course, I cannot resist buying some of them and
use the images for my card making.

This is my card using Diane Duda's digi stamp
Okay Beautiful Girl. Isn't she gorgeous?

I have water colored the image with Distress Inks.

Flowers ~ WOC
Sentiment ~ LOTV Sentiment Tags

Wish Big ~ Happy Birthday to You Louise!

Good Morning Everyone!

Popping in to share a birthday card with you.
I have made it for a co-worker of mine who turns 60 today.
Since I work in a medical lab, I wanted to make a lab
related card for Louise as she is a go-by-the-books
and an extremely detailed lab technologist.

Louise, have a blast on your birthday!
I am sure you have all the safety gears standing by.

The image is "Sage the Scientist" by Stamping Bella.

I have water colored her with Distress Ink pads.
I heat embossed around the image with white frantage powder.

Sentiment ~ Stampin'Up
Designer paper ~ Magnolia
Dies ~ Frantic Stamper Light Bulb, Magnolia Doohickey Cloudy Tag,
Tim Holtz On the Edge Torn Notebook, Go Kreate Frilly #1

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I wish you all a very lovely day!

Stitch 4You

Hello Everyone!

I am here to share a Sugar Nellie Challenge DT card.
Our theme is always Anything Goes as long as you use a
current or retired Sugar Nellie image.

I made a patchwork card using a folksy stamp by Leanne Ellis.
Sugar Nellie Funky Kits store carries a wide range of
Leanne Ellis stamps, you can find them here.

This stamp image is called "Stitch" by Leanne Ellis.

I stamped the image on 140lb Strathmore Mixed Media paper with
Staz-on Timber Brown ink. I then water colored her with Distress Ink pads.

I have been experimenting water coloring on mixed media paper lately.
Although they are not as absorbent as watercolor paper, I found
they are good for water coloring stamp images,
.
I like the Canson 98lb Mixed Media paper better as you can
easily print digi stamps and the paper is more durable
than the lighter weight watercolor paper.

Designer paper ~ Maja Design Fika collection
Dies ~ Go Kreate, Magnolia and Marianne Design.
Twine, lace and measuring tape ribbon are from The Ribbon Girl.

I hope my creation inspires you to play with us at Sugar Nellie Challenge.
and visit Funky Kits for many adorable stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!

Hugs,
Katie

For the Graduate

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are keeping well wherever you are.
Popping in to share a card I made for my son who just graduated from high school.
I bought this Magnolia stamp years ago for this special occasion.
Finally I got to stamp it and color up this sweet
Graduation Edwin or Eric!

I inked up the stamp with Staz-on Timber Brown ink and
water colored the image with Distress Ink pads.
I embossed around the image with white Frantage for added texture.

I used Eric's favorite color blue for the color theme and added some red and
amber as accents. I stenciled the background paper edges using white embossing paste
and a 6x6 The Story stencil  from The Crafter's Workshop.

Designer paper~ Maja Design Life in the Country and Life by the Sea collection
Dies ~ Go Kreate, La La Land Crafts, Marianne Design and Tim Holtz Sizzix

I am proud of Eric's achievement.
He has maintained a good grade and obtained a District Scholarship
towards his university tuition from Ministry of Education.
Well done my child!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Wish you a lovely day!

Hugs,
Katie
