U Rock Playing Basketball

Hello Everyone!

Popping in to share a birthday card I made for a
coworker's boyfriend who loves basketball
and whose favorite color is blue.

It is always a challenge for me to make cards for men/boys,
but I enjoy the task and hope the recipient likes the result.

The digi image is a freebie from Playing basketball digi from Dibujos.
I have colored it with my usual Distress Inks.

Since it's a masculine card, I used die cuts and embossing for embellishments.
The rusty orange and mustard yellow paper provides contrast
and brings the focal image forward.

Stencil ~ The Crafter's Workshop The Story 6x6
Designer paper ~ Maja Design Life by the Sea, and Stampi'Up
Dies & punches ~ Die-namics, Go Kreate, La La Land Crafts,
Stampin'Up and Tim Holtz by Sizzix

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and
wish you a lovely day!

Happy 18th Birthday!

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since I blogged.
I do have a few new cards to share but I never
seem to have time to sit in front of the computer lately.

Today, I have a new card to share with you, I have made it for
my son Eric who celebrated his 18th birthday last week.
Where did the time go? He was only a wee boy not too long ago!

The digi image I used is called "You are so shiny" by Diane Duda.
You can click the link to go to Diane's Etsy store.

I water colored this sweet boy with Distress Inks. The image was
printed on Canson Mixed Media paper on my HP laser printer.

Life in the Country Collection

Dies ~ Go Kreate, La La Land Craft, Memory Box and Sizzix Tim Holtz.

Thanks so much for visiting.
Have a wonderful day/evening!

Hugs,

Love changes everything

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.

Here to share a couple of new cards with Diane Duda's digi
You can find it in Diane's etsy store here.

I printed the digi on 98lb weight Canson Mix Media paper on my
HP laser jet printer. One image was water colored with Distress Inks
while the other with Prismacolor black and grey color pencils

I drew some additional lines in the hair to give a bit more definition.
I like the effect but I think I will try with Diane's original version next time.

Materials used
Designer paper ~ Maja Design Vintage Summer collection
Dies ~ Magnolia, Marianne Design, Memory Box, Simon Says Stamps,
 Stampin'Up, and Tim Holtz Sizzix
Embellishments are from The Ribbon Girls.

I enjoyed working with this digi, she sure made me happy!
I hope my cards have inspired you to create something
with Diane Duda's beautiful digis.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

Hugs,
Katie

More cards with Diane Duda digis

Hello Everyone and TGIF!

Popping in to share a few cards I made using mix media artist Diane Duda's
digi images. I have fallen in love with Diane's funky stamps!
I first discovered them at Sugar Nellie Funky Kits Store
while designing for SN Challenge Blog.

Diane has recently added digital stamps based on her
paintings in her Etsy shop here.

I printed the digi images on 98lb weight Canson Mix Media paper using
my HP laser printer. I then water colored them with Distress Inks.

Sentiments ~ Stampin'Up and Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers
Designer paper ~ Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour and Fika collection
Dies ~ Go Kreate, Magnolia, Marianne Design, Memory Box,
Joy Craft and Tim Holtz Sizzix
Embellishments are from The Ribbon Girls.

The stamp I used is called The Little Friend from Gorjuss Girl.
I have water colored her with my usual Distress Ink pads.
