I diecut the top of DP and cardstock with Magnolia Tilda Envelope Edge dies.

Welcome Baby Calendar

Hello crafters, happy Sunday!

Just a quick post today.
One of my younger co-workers is going on maternity leave soon.
She is expecting her first baby, a boy, how exciting!
I wanted to give her something special,
something interactive, and a toy for her :^)
So, I made another perpetual calendar with a baby theme.

I water colored the images with Distress Ink pads.
The moon was stamped on Magnolia DP, then colored.
I dabbed glitter glue here and there to add some sparkles.
I made the dices and picture frame using air-dry clay.
Sentiments were stamped and punched out with SU ticket punch.

 DPs are Magnolia.
Dies used are Magnolia, Spellbinders, Go Kreate and SU.
Stamps are Magnolia, LOTV (postcard) and SU (sentiments).
I used the LO from The Sketchy Challenges.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
White and blue Ric Rac tiny ribbons, blue fluted edge sheer ribbon,
25mm Deborah cluny lace, ivory Jute mesh ribbon,
natural button twine, blue and pale lemon blossom flowers.

I had fun making this calendar. I hope Diana likes it.
I have made these calendar before, here and here.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful week!

Katie

Ballerina Tilda

Hi Everyone!

The weather is lovely here in Vancouver this week.
The temperature is finally warming up, summer is just around the corner.
One more week, the kids will be out of school.

Today, I have a 3D project to share with you- a mini jewelry box.
I wanted to use some of my "old" stuff in my stash,
Some of these items are actually brand new still,
they have not been used since I bought them.

The image I used is Ballerina Tilda from the Fairy Tale Collection.
I water colored her with Distress Ink pads.
The glitters on her dress and tiara does not show very well.
If you click on the picture, you might see it better.

The trellis in the background is die cuts using
Grand Gothic Stained Glass die from Memory Box.
When I bought it last year, I thought I could use it as a trellis.

I cut out 3 pieces, 2 white and 1 pink.
I then trimmed off the center portion of the pink die cut
and glued it between the 2 white pieces.

I frantaged the trellis front and the butterflies.
I added a little crystal bauble to the match box drawer.
Other dies I used are from Magnolia, Memory Box, Spellbinders and SU.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
18mm Lucy white cluny lace, 8mm Rebecca ivory cluny lace,
white organza rose ribbon, ivory pearl and crystal branch,
WOC white lily flower, ivory/lemon sparkle rose,
10mm pale pink open rose.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs,
Katie

Cali Girl

Happy Sunday crafty friends!
A quick post to share a DT ard with you today.

We have a new Card Challenge over at The Ribbon Girl Blog.
The challenge theme this week is ~ Add a die cut.

This image is called Cali Girl by Hannah Lynn from Crafts and Me.
I have colored her with Copic markers.
I just love the way her hair flows.

I kept the card pretty simple as I wanted the pretty image to stand out.
A thin layer of cheese cloth and a piece of delicate cluny lace
were placed in between DPs to further soften the look.

I also top stitched and distressed all paper edges, and
added some Shabby White Frantage on the roses and DP.

DPs are from Pion Design Fairytale Spring collection.
Leave die is by Marianne Design.

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
35mm Pale pink Trellis rose, white Lily flower,
Sophie white cluny lace, and cheese cloth.

You can see more Ribbon Girl creations here.

Be Yourself

Hello everyone!
How is your week so far?

My week has been good, housework all done :^).
Today, I had a nice lunch visit with a friend and managed to finish a card.
I am a slow crafter, it usually takes me a few days to finish a card as
I usually do it in stages in between my chores and work.

I enjoy coloring Saturated Canary images lately.
I think they each has its own distinct character and attitude,
it's fun to bring out their personality.

I thought I would do a monochromatic card and color the hair pink.
The LO is from The Sketchy Challenges.

This image is called Honey.  I have colored her with DIs.
I added some shabby pink and shabby white frantage.

The DPs are Stampin'Up, Prima, and Basic Grey.
Dies are Spellbinders, Magnolia Doohickey, La La Land and Tim Holtz.
Sentiment is an old Stampin'up one and I hand wrote "be yourself".

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
Baby pink sweetheart blossom, WOC pale pink trellis rose 35mm,
K&G beaded ivory/cream berries, ivory button twine,
seam binding ribbon, Rebecca vintage cluny lace.

Hope you like this card.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs,
Katie

Mermaid Tilda

Good morning everyone!

My gosh, it's the last Sunday of the month already?
To me time flies too quickly these days; there are so much
to enjoy in life, it's hard to find time to do it all.
I must say I still enjoy card making. It allows me to
express my creativity and connect with others likewise.

Enough babbling.
Today, we have a new challenge for you at The Ribbon Girl Blog.
This week is a Magnolia Only challenge~ Add sparkles.

For my DT creation, I made a card using Little Mermaid Tilda from the
Bon Voyage collection and sketch from CLP's current challenge.

The image was water colored with Distress Inks.
I added Viva Decor glitter gel here and there on the mermaid.

I Frantaged Shabby White and Shabby Blue around the image and DPs.
I also added some rhinestones and sparkle bead string to give extra glamour.

I decorated the background with Magnolia Peacock Feather die cuts and
chrysanth flowers; I think they resemble coral and sea anemones.

DP is Magnolia Blue Magic Bubbles from Prince and Princess collection.
Dies used are Magnolia DooHickey, Go Kreate, and Spellbinders.

The following items are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
K&G cream chrysanthemum, canterbury rose pink flower collection,
aqua sparkle bead string, Angelica ivory tulle lace,
ivory jute mesh ribbon, cream and blue seam binding ribbons.

I would love it if you can join us at The Ribbon Girl Blog
and see my teammates lovely creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
 Katie <3

Aloha ~ A Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a birthday card to share with you.

saturated canary digi

The image is called Aloha. I have colored her with Distress Ink pads.

I used my Frantage embossing powders for the 1st time.
Not quite used to heat emboss from underneath;
I need to practice more to get a hang of it.

I made this little picture frame using air dry clay and Martha Stewart mold.
The sentiment is an old one from Stampin'Up.
The little turtle is a Memory Box die cut. I dry embossed the cut out
turtle shell and dusted with chalk ink and glitter glue.

Dies used are Go Kreate, Spellbinder, Magnilia, and Memory Box.
DPs are from my stash, I bought these papers few years ago from
Island Paparie when vacationing in Maui, Hawaii.

The following items are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
3mm Aqua bead string, ivory button twine, heart with flower charm,
seam binding ribbon (colored with DI), Elizabeth cluny lace,
50mm Emily embroidered tulle lace,
small pale lilac gardenia flower, white K&G chrysanth.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Wild Wild West

Hello Everyone!
A quick post to share a new creation with you.

I've been wanting to make another 3D interactive calendar
using some of the new Magnolia stamps.
I finally had time to craft and created this Wild Wild West scene calendar.

The images were water colored with Distress Inks.
I have made these cactus and stones using air-dry clay and
colored them with Copics when dry.

I used TH Picture Wheel die to cut out the base for the background.
The wheel is perfect for making this calendar as it has
12 cutouts, one for each month :^).

I attached a Spellbinder scallop circle die cut to the back
of the picture wheel with a brad.
You can turn the wheel to change the month and
turn the 2 stone dices for the date.

I also added 2 matchbox compartments to store the greeting tags.
The sentiments are from Magnolia and SU.
I added "Go ahead" from Clint Eastwood's wild wild west quote
"Go ahead, make my day" to one of the tags.

I have used Kort and Godt cream chrysanth flowers,
tiny Ric Rac ribbons, and natural button twines
from The Ribbon Girl Shop.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have good day.

Hugs,
Katie
